At the age of 100, Ali Antarit put the horns on his head.

Ali Antar, known as "Zulqarnein", who lived almost a century and a half, has passed away.

Ali Antar, who belongs to the province of Al-Jawf, east of the Yemeni capital Sana'a, was given the title "Zulqarnein" for his long life.

But longevity isn't the only reason for its fame, another surprising secret lies in its title.

Ali Antar had two horns on his head. His relatives attempted to remove the horns by burning them without surgery, which was fatal to Ali Antari. Ali Antar died on the third day after the horn was removed.

A relative of Ali Antar in the Barat al-Mrashi area of Al-Jawf province said Ali Antar's death on Sunday was due to his health, mental condition and signs of old age.

However, it appears that traditional dehorning methods, rather than modern medical methods, led to their deaths.

According to the Yemeni newspaper Adan al-Ghad, two horns appeared on Ali Antar's head when he turned 100 years old.

These horns began to grow and hang from the front of the head down the cheeks and then reached the mouth line.

Ali Antar's life spanned three centuries. He has seen the late 19th century, the entire 20th century and two decades of the 21st century.
