OPPO Find N2 Fold tip with ultra-light body; It may weigh less than the iPhone 14 Pro Max |
Despite all the innovations, tablet-to-phone foldables lack the convenience of traditional slate-shaped smartphones. People find the added weight and bulk unappealing, which is the main reason for the downward spiral in foldable sales in 2022.
Find N2, Oppo's upcoming foldable flagship, could reverse the trend as its chassis folding is now said to be relatively easy.
In the latest report, ever-reliable tipster Ice Universe breaks the news saying that Oppo's upcoming tablet-to-phone device will weigh less than 240 grams, or 15% less than last year's foldable Oppo .
The tipster compares the weight of the OPPO Find N2 to the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which tops out at a whopping 240 grams. This comparison also applies to competing fold lines.

The new build of N2 can jump ahead and leave behind Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, Huawei Mate X2, Xiaomi Mix Fold 2, Vivo X Fold+ files and some traditional phones like iPhone 13 Pro Max, ASUS ROG 6D Ultimate, etc.
Nothing on the price of the OPPO smartphone yet, but according to Ice, the lightweight construction could be related to the new material that Oppo plans to use.
The Find N2 is thought to have a 5.5-inch top display with 120Hz refresh and a 7.1-inch foldable inner screen.
The initial launch is expected to limit deployment to China only. Pending the official claim, predicting whether the phone will boost sales outside of the domestic market is a tough nut to crack.
