More than 800 people in the US state of Florida will go out for the next eight days in search of the aggressive and dangerous Burmese dragon, and a prize money of thousands of dollars has been announced for this.

Officials said the hunt for the dangerous Burmese dragon officially began on Friday morning and will continue till 5 pm on August 15.
"This is important because this dragon preys on our native birds, mammals and reptiles," said Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis.

Hunters who have registered for the competition so far come from 32 US states and Canada.
The registration fee is $25 and participants are also required to complete an online training course.
