Human-trafficking gangs in the European country of Albania are organizing free minibus trips from southern Europe to the coast of northern France as thousands cross the English Channel illegally, according to British newspaper The Telegraph.

Members of the social media site TikTok are advertising the journey as '100 per cent safe' and promoting links where migrants can contact to travel to the UK.

If you make a deal with them, migrants are taken to the French coast and handed over to Channel crossing gangs, often run by Iraqi Kurds.

A record-breaking 1,295 migrants crossed the Channel on Monday, paying thousands of dollars per person to secure a place on the tiny boat.

The previous daily record was more than 100. According to British intelligence reports, almost two out of every five migrants are from Albania. 22 thousand 500, which is double compared to 2021.

About 200 more migrants arrived on British shores on Tuesday, bringing the number of arrivals to 6,500 in August.

The crisis has further strained relations between British and French immigration authorities.

Because French authorities are demanding millions of euros to cover the costs of 800 officers and aerial surveillance assets, deployed to intercept boats carrying migrants from shores.
