Muslim butcher arrested in India for insulting Hindu deities

Police in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh have arrested a Muslim man for allegedly insulting the religious sentiments of the people. 

According to Indian channel NDTV, a man named Talib Hussain was arrested for wrapping chicken meat in newspapers with pictures of Hindu deities Has gone. 

The incident took place on Sunday in Sanbhal, Uttar Pradesh, according to the Press Trust of India (PTI). 

The arrested person Talib Hussain is a butcher by profession and the complainant alleges that he has hurt the religious sentiments of the people by wrapping chicken meat in a piece of newspaper with pictures of Hindu deities. 

The FIR alleges that when police arrived at Talib Hussain's shop, they attacked the officers with knives. Blasphemy) and 307 (attempted murder). The case against Talib Hussain has been registered under sections 153A (spreading hatred), 295A (insulting gods or religion) and 307 (attempted murder) of the Indian Penal Code.

In the pictures seen on social media, a man can be seen standing with newspapers and pictures of Hindu deities can also be seen on these newspapers. 

Sanbhal police told users in a tweet that the man has been arrested and Action is being taken against the law.
