Harley-Davidson is still a famous maker of expensive and heavy bikes, and now the company's 1908 belt-driven motorcycle has been auctioned for almost a million dollars.

Built nearly 120 years ago, this motorcycle has been declared the world's most expensive motorcycle at auction. A few days ago it was auctioned at Macum Auctions in Las Vegas for $935,000, which is more than 24 million Pakistani rupees.

It was produced in limited numbers by Harley-Davidson itself and it is believed that there are 12 such motorcycles in the world. That's why it's also a rare ride. Another important thing is that this Harley Davidson model was the very first and also the most popular.

Then the Bandtank model, developed in 1908, became very popular.

It had a new innovation by connecting the structure of fuel tank and oil tank with brass strips for the first time. Therefore, finding their original and true model was in itself a great challenge. Interestingly, even in 1908 it was the most expensive motorcycle in the world.

Other models of belted armor have also become popular, including a 1907 model that was auctioned in 2015 for $715,000.
