LAHORE: Punjab and Lahore Police have withdrawn security forces from key figures in the former Punjab government, including Usman Buzdar, Parvez Elahi, Monis Elahi and Yasmin Rashid. 

According to sources, more than 1,000 police officers in the provincial capital Lahore and the Punjab Police continued to issue transcripts to political officials, including PTI's social media chief Dr. Arslan Khalid, continued to receive generous writings, but withdrew security from important individuals.

Security was also withdrawn for former prime minister's adviser Khurram Manwar, Mossadegh Abbasi, Umar Sarfraz Cheema, Haroon Gul, Pir Saif Abbas Ali Shah and Tahir Ashrafi. Apart from them, the security of the personal secretary of the former prime minister, Muhammad Khan Bhatti and the secretary of the assembly, Inayatullah, was withdrawn. 

24 vehicles and 554 personnel from other units of the Lahore and Punjab police were withdrawn from the security check. It should be noted that former Prime Minister Imran Khan still has 602 staff and security guards on duty.
