New York: Bad news for users of streaming service Netflix due to password sharing.
According to new reports, Netflix is ending the service's out-of-home use by the end of April this year.
Netflix announced a crackdown on password distributors last July, and over a decade Netflix lost nearly two million subscribers in the 2022 quarter.
According to the streaming service, if a user wants to use the service outside the home, they have to pay extra.
According to Netflix, the widespread distribution of passwords gives the company less opportunity to invest in improving its service.
Some US states are experimentally paying an outsider an extra two to three dollars for sharing an account from which many people have opted out.
