Asian Cup; Traditional rivals Pakistan and India are included in the same group

In the ODI Asia Cup scheduled for September, Pakistan and India have been placed in the same group, the third team will be the Qualifier One, while the second group will feature the teams from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. 

The Asian Cricket Council has tasked Pakistan to host the Asia Cup while announcing the annual calendar and road structure, while the host country is not mentioned in the calendar of events. Arch rivals Pakistan and India were again placed in the same group. 

On the other hand, ACC president Jay Shah has informed that the Indian team will not participate in the Asia Cup organized by Pakistan. 

The Asia Cup Women's Development T20 is also scheduled for June, featuring teams from India A, Pakistan A, Thailand, Hong Kong, Bangladesh A, Sri Lanka A, UAE and Malaysia. 

At the same time, the 50-over format of the fledgling Men's Asian Cup was replaced by India A, Pakistan A, Sri Lanka A, Group One qualifiers, Afghanistan A, Bangladesh A and the two Group Two qualifiers. 

The U19 Men's Asia Cup in December is also part of the schedule, with Pakistan having two qualifiers in one group while Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and one qualifier in the other group.
