According to Indian media, some activists from the Hindu extremist organization Bajrang Dal in Ahmedabad went to the multiplex cinema in the Alpha One mall and tore down the posters of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone movies.
This is not the first protest against the film Pathan, extremist groups have earlier staged several protests demanding that the film not be released.
Spurred by the wave of protests, the Indian censor board directed the filmmakers to make the board's proposed changes before release.
According to media reports, the film got the green light from the censor board after 10 changes.
