Realme V23i goes official without claim; Chip with dimension 700, 5000 mAh cell, IPS 90 Hz

Realme is leading the new releases this month. In an unsolicited move, the chain quietly unveiled a new V model from its China-exclusive series. The phone is derived from the Realme V23i and is listed in the company's mid-range portfolio. Here is a brief overview of its interior.

First, it's important to note that the V23i's entry-level price doesn't always justify its specs. The full spec sheet includes a so-so CPU, standard IPS display, no high-resolution camera, and 5,000mAh with no fast-charge metrics.

On the performance front, the Realme V23i uses the MediaTek MT6833 Dimensity 700 (7nm)  chip. It's an entry-level 5G chip and the cheapest you'll find in any phone. It uses an underperforming MALI G57 GPU for graphics and visuals.

The only variant it ships in has a limited 4GB of RAM paired with 128GB of storage. However, Realme's latest V model has an SD card slot for additional storage. The V23i has an older OS based on Android 12 on Realme UI.

The new Realme model combines a 90 Hz refresh rate with a 6.56-inch HD+ IPS display. The display has a screen-to-body ratio of 84% and a density of ~268 PPI. The case surrounding the screen is made of plastic with straight edges. The frame consists of a fingerprint reader on the side and a square camera platform on the back.

The V23i's minimal photography setup includes a 13-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel secondary camera, and an 8-megapixel selfie shooter capable of 1080p recording. The phone charges with 10W. It starts with a 5000 mAh cell and comes in black and blue colors. The phone, launched in China, surprisingly costs $288, which is around 64,000 Pakistani rupees, just 14,000 more than the retail price of the Realme C35.
