Who is Ghisliane Maxwell?
Ghisliane Maxwell was born on Christmas Day 1961. Three days after his birth, his 15-year-old brother Michael Maxwell had an accident that left him in a coma for the rest of his seven years.
Although she was born into a wealthy family and her father, Robert Maxwell, was a famous Grammy publisher. However, Ghisliane Maxwell was emotionally neglected in his early years. Her mother Betty later admitted in her autobiography that Ghisliane received "very little attention" from her parents after Michael's accident.
According to her daughter, one day in 1965, her three-year-old daughter Ghisliane stood in front of her and said, "Mom, here I am." According to her daughter, Ghisliane also suffered from anorexia.
Her parents spoiled their daughter to compensate for this lack. Despite this, he could not escape his father's wrath and the punishments he inflicted on each of his children. However, she soon became his most popular girl. In her autobiography, Beatty wrote that her favorite daughter soon "became promiscuous, I can say that of all my children."
Now that he has been found guilty of several serious charges, the reasons can be traced back to his neglected childhood. Ghisliane is a very difficult woman and explaining the reasons for her crimes is a very difficult task. Although his life has been in the public eye to a considerable extent, the details are still unclear.
But perhaps more details about him can be revealed through his childhood and relationship with his father. As a businessman, Robert Maxwell had a reputation as a tough guy. He was known at home as a "strict father" who verbally and physically abused his children.
His biographer John Preston writes that Robert asked all his children hard questions at the dinner table about their futures, and when he didn't get the answers he wanted, he made them cry. Obligated. "They beat us with belts, even the girls," says one of Robert's sons, Ian Pretson.
Like Robert Maxwell, Epstein was a very wealthy man from a middle-class family in a borough of Brooklyn. Like Robert Maxwell, his final years were humiliating and he apparently committed suicide
Ghisliane's relationship with Epstein was mutually beneficial. She would introduce him to her rich and powerful friends and they would in return fund her lavish lifestyle. The two had a very close relationship, and regarding their relationship at trial, attorneys argued that Maxwell "wasn't very rich when she met Epstein."
