Leaked Geekbench information points to a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC at the core of the A98. Although not explicitly named, the document shows a similar core SoC with a hyperclocked 4nm 3.0GHz SD 8 Gen 1. In addition, the phone carries 16GB of physical RAM in a chip codenamed "TARO".
According to the document, Oppo's upcoming 5G offering will likely run Android 13 by default. It scored 1043 points in a single-core test and 3685 points in a multi-core test. Otherwise, nothing interesting was shown in the Geekbench benchmark.

Last week's TENAA listing provided the blueprint for OPPO's upcoming price list accumulation. The phone will be the first handset with a curved A-line display and a center-aligned punch hole. Additionally, the rumor mill believes that a 1080p, AMOLED, 120Hz refresh rate display abounds in the A98.
Oppo plans to break the highest PWM dimming record with its latest A-series phone. It is said to use 2160Hz PWM to reduce eye strain in low light. Industry insider DCS says the A98's chin will be 2.3mm, which could be Oppo's next step towards frameless displays.
