A scientist linked to the missile program in Taiwan has been found dead in a hotel room, while on the other hand, Taiwan has accused China of wanting to attack the country under the pretext of battle exercises.

Sources told Taiwan's official news agency CN. 57-year-old Ou Yang Li-shing died of a heart attack.

On the other hand, Taiwanese authorities say that China is retaliating for the visit of US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

has conducted exercises in which its drones and a ship crossed the median line.

After the visit of the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, China and the US have also stopped negotiations in many fields.

After Pelosi arrived in Taiwan as an unannounced visit, China reacted strongly and began military exercises, including the firing of ballistic missiles over Taipei.

The fight drills are scheduled to continue for half a day on Sunday.

Taiwan's defense ministry said the activities in the Taiwan Strait involved a large number of Chinese naval and aircraft, some of which were informal.

The line also crosses the median line, which is an unofficial demarcation between the two.

Taiwanese military officials believe it was a rehearsal for an invasion of the island.

Taiwan's military has issued a warning and air surveillance has been tightened as missiles are being prepared.

According to the Ministry of Defense, seven drones and a plane flew over Kunman and Matsu Islands late Friday night.

Both islands are located off the southeast coast of China. Despite all threats from China, Nancy Pelosi arrived in Taiwan on Tuesday, the first visit by a high-ranking US official in decades.

On Friday, the speaker of the US House of Representatives left for Japan. Soon after, China announced it was ending negotiations with the US in several areas, including military and climate change.

China's foreign ministry also said it was halting the exchange of information to prevent crime and drug smuggling on both sides of the border.

The US has described China's response as "irresponsible". US Secretary of State Anthony Blanken has said that Washington has made it clear to Beijing several times that it does not want to create a crisis during Pelosi's visit.

He said during a press conference in the nearby country of Cambodia that "any inappropriate and aggressive military response will not be tolerated." No explanation can be given.

Remember that China claims its ownership of Taiwan, while Taiwan denies it and declares itself an independent country.
