After the attack on Capitol Hill, the family of the dead official sued Trump


The family of a police officer who died a day after the 2021 attack on Capitol Hill has filed a lawsuit against former President Donald Trump alleging he incited supporters to violence that day. 

According to the British news agency Reuters, the lawsuit was filed in Washington District Court by the family of 42-year-old police officer Brian Siknik, who died on January 7. 

A medical examiner concluded that Brian Sickink was not injured in the Capitol Hill attack and died of physical causes, but that the events of January 6 "played a role in leading him to this condition." 

Documents filed in court allege that "Donald Trump deliberately incited the crowd and directed the attack." 

The lawsuit also alleges that the ensuing violence resulted in the injury of several people, including Siknik, who later died, and that this situation was the result of Donald Trump's words. it was
