The riots in Bajrang Dal prevented Muslims from performing Friday prayers

About 100 Muslim citizens praying in an open square in the Indian town of Gurugram were attacked and driven away by rebels from the right-wing Hindu religious party, Bajrang Dal.

According to NDTV, workers from Bajrang Dal came shouting slogans and dispersing about 100 devotees who were performing Friday prayers outdoors.

According to police, about 15 Bajrang Dal members came under the leadership of District Chief Amit Hindu and attacked a place called Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhakaran in Sector 69.

According to NDTV, in 2021, the county administration allowed Muslims to pray in six public places.

After receiving information about the incident, the police team arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control. When the police arrived, the Muslim citizens returned, after which the police asked the Bajrang Dal workers to leave as well.

Amit Hindu, a member of the right-wing Bajrang Dal party, said believers were performing Friday prayers that invaded the green belt area. They pray.

The stance has been adopted by Muslim citizens living in Gurugram, who pray outdoors because of the lack of mosques in those areas.
