Players in Argentina's squad that won the FIFA World Cup in Qatar this month have been branded "non-citizens" by the French minister.

France's Sport Minister Amelie Udaya Castira called Argentina's players "indecent" for mocking their international player Kylian Mbappé.

The French sport minister said: "As much as our French team knows how to lose with dignity, contrary to the way Argentina acted after the win, they couldn't match the game we saw."

Sport Minister Amele slammed Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez for holding a stick puppet of French player Mbappe during the victory parade in the capital, Buenos Aires, saying: "Emiliano Martinez has not made himself special by doing so." It was a shameful act.

"I find all this very sad, it's rude, impolite and unsportsmanlike," says Emilio Di Castaia.

"Immediately after the end of the game, it was heard in the Argentina dressing room that 'a minute's silence should be observed for Mbappe,'" he said.

The (FFF) also filed complaints against its internationals Kingsley Coman, Kolo Mawoni and Aurelien Chomani for making racist comments on social media after the final.
