After the killing of a fourth Muslim man in the US state of New Mexico between Friday and Saturday night, police have expressed fears that it may be related to the previous three ambush incidents.

The murdered Muslim man belongs to South Asian country and his age is said to be around 25, 26 years.

In the city of Albuquerque, New Mexico, four Muslims have been killed in different incidents over the course of nine months.

According to police officials, when the officers arrived at the scene after receiving a report of shooting, the body of the person was found.

At the beginning of this week, the local Detectives and police confirmed that authorities are trying to find a connection in the separate incidents.

Last week, two separate shootings killed 27-year-old Muhammad Afzal Hussain and 41-year-old Aftab Hussain. , both hailed from Pakistan and used to go to the same mosque for worship.

Similarly, a third incident took place in November in which 62-year-old Muhammad Ahmadi, who hailed from South Isha, was killed.

Albuquerque Police Chief Harold Medina said at a press conference that "there are indications that the shootings are related." Police did not say whether the Friday night killings were related.

The same procedures were followed as in previous incidents.

Authorities say the identity of the suspects and the motive for the incident cannot be determined at this time to be a hate crime.

New Mexico "Our community is in a state of grief, you can't imagine," said Ahmad Asad, president of the Islamic Center in Islamabad.

Besides, a reward of 15,000 dollars has also been announced for anyone who helps in the search of an accused involved in the murder incident.
