Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed grief over the death of five Pakistani citizens due to floods in the Emirates

The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif, has expressed his grief over the loss of human lives due to the floods in the United Arab Emirates, including Pakistani citizens. 

In a statement on Sunday, the Prime Minister said that he shares the grief of the affected families and He said that in this difficult time, Pakistan stands with the government of the United Arab Emirates and its citizens. 

"I have issued instructions to the Pakistani embassy in Abu Dhabi to help the affected families in every possible way." 


Earlier, Pakistan's foreign office expressed its regret over the damage caused by the rains and floods in the United Arab Emirates in a statement. 

In a statement released on Saturday, the Foreign Office said that Pakistan expresses its condolences to the UAE and its people for the damage caused by the rains and floods. 

The individuals include five Pakistani nationals and officials at the Pakistani embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Pakistani consulate in Dubai are in full communication with the UAE government. 

On Saturday, the Ministry of Interior of the Emirates said that the number of people killed in Fujairah due to heavy rains and 
flooded rails has increased to seven. 

"According to the Ministry of Interior, 'All the people who died in the flood are Asian migrants.' The water has been cleared while the damage is being assessed.
