Rising inflation in Europe Germany considers raising emergency gas plan alert

This is the most unexpected situation since the 2008 global economic crisis.

Germany says the country's emergency gas plan alert level could be raised given Russia's cut in gas supplies.

According to AFP, German Economy Minister Robert Heibek told reporters.

"Gas is one of the main shortages in Germany at the moment," he said.

On the other hand, the economic growth of the EU member states has seen a sharp decline in the month of June.

Chris Williamson, chief business economist at S&P Global, said: "The main reason for the slowdown in economic activity is the rise in prices."

The latter is the most unexpected situation. It should be noted that since the beginning of Russia's 'special military operation' in Ukraine in February this year, there have been concerns about the supply of gas to European countries.

The majority of US and European countries are supporting Ukraine while Most of these countries depend on Russia for gas.
