G7 Summit in Germany Basic Message of Unity and Harmony

The meeting will be attended by seven economically strong powers.

The three-day summit of the Group of Seven, the world's seven largest economies, kicks off on Sunday in the German state of Bavarian Alps.

Topics include hunger and health. The German chancellor will host leaders from France, Britain, Italy, Japan, Canada and the United States.

According to Reuters, an EU official said: "The main message of the G7 will be steps for unity and harmony.

This is the basic message that we must remain united even in difficult times.

”The G7 leaders are expected to try to show a united front in support of Ukraine and increase pressure on the Kremlin, but these countries have avoided sanctions.

In the context of the Ukraine war, the meeting will focus on climate change, including China's rising food prices, China's aggressive approach and dictatorship.

Rising energy and food prices are hurting economic growth.

The United Nations also warned of a "severe famine" on Friday. According to sources familiar with the matter, G7's partners have agreed to a ban on gold imports from Russia.

In 2015, the G7 meeting was held at the same place.

Even then, a year after Moscow's invasion of Crimea, Russian aggression dominated the meeting's agenda.

The government has deployed 18,000 police officers to secure the meeting.
