A student at a university in Oman has been shot dead

Student shot several times inside university

A female student was shot dead at a university in the Jordanian capital, Amman. 

According to Arab News, Aman's Public Security Directorate said in a statement that the student was shot several times inside the Applied Science Private University on Thursday. 

Fled the scene The student was rushed to a hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to her injuries. 

According to the security directorate, an investigation has been launched to identify and arrest the accused. 

The brother of the slain student said that the accused belonged to his family. 

"Legal action will be taken against all those involved in this tragic accident," Huawei said. 

This is a very sad day for a female student who was shot dead in broad daylight at the university. 

"Another user wrote: This (law) gives preference to men.
