US Diplomacy in Asia Will Fail, China Reacts to Biden's Visit

The Chinese foreign minister said that the US strategy, "whichever way it is presented, ultimately fails"

During US President Joe Biden's visit to South Korea and Japan, the Chinese foreign minister said in a statement that US diplomacy in Asia would ultimately fail.

On Sunday, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi described the United States' "so-called Indo-Pacific strategy as a strategy to create divisions, foment animosity and destroy peace."

The first visit to Asia by US President Joe Biden is being seen as a demonstration of the US commitment to maintaining its trade and military supremacy in the region.

The time is coming when its rival China is facing significant economic difficulties due to the lockdown in order to control the spread of the epidemic.

On Tuesday, US President Biden will attend a summit of the Quad Group, which will include talks with the leaders of Australia, India and Japan to work on common interests in the region, the Chinese foreign minister said.

That the United States is forming small groups in the name of freedom and openness and all this is being done in the hope that China can be stopped.

Wang Yi said that it was especially dangerous that the United States was playing "Taiwan Card" and "South China Sea Card" to spread chaos in the region.

There are differences between China and the United States on many global issues.

Washington and Beijing have sharp differences over a number of issues, including China's activities in the East and South China Seas, China's claims to Taiwan and, according to the United States, human rights abuses in the Xinjiang region.
