Any kind of protest or meeting in UAE is illegal: Pakistani embassy

Misuse of social media is also prohibited here

The Pakistani embassy in the UAE has told Pakistanis living in the UAE that "any kind of protest or rally here is illegal under local law". 

A statement released on the embassy's Twitter account in Abu Dhabi said: The embassy instructed all Pakistanis residing in the UAE to "abide by local laws and refrain from any such activity," the embassy said in a statement.

Earlier, on April 13, a statement issued on the Pakistani embassy's Twitter account warned Pakistanis living in the UAE that "rallies in the UAE are illegal." 

The statement urged all Pakistanis residing there to abide by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and not to engage in any illegal activity.
