The Formation Commanders Conference, chaired by Pakistan's Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, has taken stern notice of Pakistan's 'propaganda campaign to discredit the army' on social media by some quarters, saying that Such a campaign is an attempt to bridge the gap between the institution and society.
A statement issued by the Army Public Relations Department said that Pakistani forces have always stood by state institutions and will continue to do so in self-defense without any compromise.

Campaign against the judiciary on the army: FIA starts arrests
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Tuesday arrested several people on charges of campaigning on social media against the army chief and the high court and launched an investigation against them.
According to an FIA official, a man has been arrested from Sabzazar area of Lahore on charges of creating a trend on social media against the army chief while another person has been arrested from Multan in the same connection.

According to FIA officials, the Cyber Crime Wing has tracked down more than 2,000 accounts on social media, from where a conspiracy was being launched against the Pakistani military and its leader.
According to FIA officials, these accounts have been created on social media during the last six months and 50,000 pages of the campaign against intelligence agencies have been shortlisted. According to FIA officials, the intelligence agencies had informed the FIA about the details of these accounts and the areas from which these accounts are being operated.
According to the authorities, ten people have been arrested in the light of this information.
