After Naik was killed, the accused sealed the victim in a sack and hid her in his bathroom for three days. According to SP Hariyam Shankar, the killing took place on February 7 and on February 10 the accused killed the body to destroy the evidence. But they burned it by pouring gasoline and kerosene.
Police have secured CCTV footage of the burning body. According to them, the last residence of the deceased was found in the residence of the defendant.
Naik was supposed to deliver seven parcels that day, but after sending two parcels, he disappeared. His last place of residence was the house of the defendant.
