The new civil marriage law for foreigners and visitors in Abu Dhabi

According to the new law, the minimum age of the bride and groom must be 18 years. 

The head of the Foreigners Services Office at the Abu Dhabi Department of Justice in the United Arab Emirates, Mini Al Raisi, said that under the new civil marriage law in 2021, foreigners residing in the state and those coming to visited, a visa must meet 4 conditions for the civil marriage process. It must be done'. 

According to Emirates Al-Youm, Mini Al-Raisi says that "the first condition is that the minimum age of the bride and groom is 18 years old and this is proven by an official document issued by the respective country." 

Mani Al-Raisi says that both the groom and the bride must declare their approval of the marriage in clear terms before the judge. It will also ensure that there is no legal impediment to either party's consent to the marriage. 

"The third condition is the mark of the lady and lucky man on the marriage announcement." Assuming there are further limitations in such manner by the head of the justice department, these should also be implemented. 

Mani Al Raisi said that the Ministry of Justice in Abu Dhabi has launched a civil marriage service in 5 international languages: Arabic, English, Russian, Chinese and Spanish.
