Hollywood director James Cameron is known for blockbusters like Titanic and Avatar.
His new film Avatar the Way of Water has managed to gross $1 billion (more than 2 billion Pakistani rupees) in 14 days.
It will become the third film to surpass $1 billion in 2022, following Top Gun Maverick and Jurassic World 3.
But even a billion-dollar deal doesn't make Avatar the Way of Water a smash hit.
It is the most expensive film in the world and financial losses can only be avoided if it becomes the third or fourth highest grossing film in the world.
Director James Cameron revealed this himself during an interview in November.
When James Cameron was asked during the interview how much business Avatar 2 won't lose, he said that it should be the third or fourth grossing film after which we can say no harm has been done.
The 2009 film Avatar grossed $2.97 billion, but analysts think Avatar the Way of Water is unlikely to do as much business.
However, James Cameron's film could definitely become the highest-grossing film of 2022, surpassing Top Gun Maverick.
