Not only Gal Gadot, many celebrities of the world have been forced to hide their faces from this feature

You may recognize Israeli-American actress Gal Gadot, who received rave reviews for her role in Wonder Woman and her film was a huge success.

Following the film's success, Gal Gadot signed an endorsement deal with Chinese tech giant Huawei.

Gadot promoted the company's flagship Mate 10 Pro across all social media channels, including Twitter.

However, she later got embroiled in the controversies that many celebrities before her faced.

Twitter had a special feature that showed whether you were tweeting from an Android or an iPhone.

Since the Mate 10 Pro was an Android phone, Gadot's tweet was criticized for being sent from an iPhone. This problem complicated things and caused a lot of embarrassment on the platform.

Eventually, Wonder Woman's support was overshadowed by another superhero, Elon Musk, who decided to step down after buying the company.

But the move led to Gadot and many other celebrities making a mistake that led to them taking a long hiatus from Twitter.

Twitter removed this feature in 2012. However, it was reintroduced in 2018.

Gadot was the most famous person involved, but she wasn't the only one.

Last month, the official Google Pixel account was caught using an iPhone while responding to Apple CEO Tim Cook.

Pop singer Alicia Keys was also caught tweeting from an iPhone to promote Blackberry.
