According to reports from foreign media, the Iranian authorities have arrested the country's well-known actress, Tarana Alidousti. The actress has been accused of spreading false information about the ongoing protests in the country.
Iranian media say Tirana, the star of the Oscar-winning film The Salesman, was arrested a week after posting on Instagram.
In her Instagram post, the actress expressed her solidarity with the man who was executed by Iranian authorities last week for participating in protests.
The actress captioned her post: "His name was Mohsin Shikari. Any international organization that fails to act after witnessing this bloodshed is a stain on humanity.
Iranian authorities executed Mohsin Shikari on December 9 on charges of blocking a street in Tehran and attacking a security force officer with a machete during protests.
It is worth noting that a 22-year-old student in Iran, Mahsa Amini, was arrested by the sub-squad for not wearing a full hijab. She died in police custody.
It is worth remembering that at least 495 people have been killed in the protests in Iran that have continued since September.
