Jordan's King Abdullah has said he is ready to face any battle if attempts are made to change the status of Jerusalem's holy sites.

During an interview with Becky Anderson, a presenter on the American Broadcasting Corporation, King Abdullah said there were concerns in Jordan about the administration of Muslim and Christian holy sites in East Jerusalem under Israeli control.

He said efforts are being made to change the administrative status of the holy sites in Israel.

King Jordan said this is our red line, if anyone wants to fight us, we are ready.

"I always think positively, but we have some red lines and if someone wants to cross those red lines, we will take care of it," he said.

It should be noted that the government of Benjamin Netanyahu, elected after the last elections in Israel, includes parties with right-wing ideologies.

Shah Abdullah said in the interview that we are worried about the next intifada and if it comes to that, the peace and order situation will be destroyed and it will not benefit Israel or Palestine.

"I think everyone in the region is concerned about this issue, and even in Israel there are a lot of people who don't want this to happen," he said.

It should be noted that the royal family of Jordan has been responsible for the supervision and administration of Jerusalem's holy sites since 1924.
