India's security agencies have demanded that Russia grant access to an Uzbek man who was arrested in Russia for a suicide attack on the ruling party leadership over 'insulting' statements. 

Indian newspaper Hindustan Times According to the Indian security agencies have formally contacted the Russian institutions. 

The Russian intelligence agency Federal Security Service arrested in April 2022 a man named Mashrakun Azamov, who had recently joined an extremist group that planned to target the leadership of India's ruling party. 

According to the report, the Uzbek citizen told after his arrest that he had traveled through Russia to go to India, while the explosives and other equipment to target the targets had to be provided by 'some people' in India.

The Indian agency has also asked Russia to provide information about the Uzbek national's mention of an organization operating locally in India, which was supposed to supply explosives, while 30-year-old Azamov. 

Also requested to provide interrogation report. Security is tight in India after Nupur Sharma, spokesperson of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), made an insulting statement, and was later suspended by the BJP. 

Indian agencies Apart from Russia, Uzbekistan Secret agencies are also in touch and information about the citizen is being obtained.
