Phone conversation between Narendra Modi and His Excellency Mark Rutte, Prime Minister of the Netherlands

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today spoke on the phone with His Excellency Mark Rutte, Prime Minister of the Netherlands.

The two leaders discussed India-Netherlands bilateral relations, including planned partnership on water, cooperation in key sectors of agriculture, prospects for bilateral cooperation in high-tech and emerging sectors. 

The two leaders also discussed regional and global issues, including Indo-EU relations, Indo-Pacific harmony and cooperation. 

India-Netherlands relations have gained momentum in recent years through regular high-level visits and talks. 

The two Prime Ministers held a Virtual Summit on April 09, 2021 and have been talking regularly. 

During the Virtual Summit, a 'Planned Partnership on Water' was launched with the Netherlands. 

In the current year, India and the Netherlands are jointly celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. 

This special milestone was celebrated on April 4-7, 2022 with the official visit of the President of the Republic of India to the Netherlands.
