According to the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence, suspected members of an Israeli cell have been arrested who were allegedly planning to carry out a major "terrorist" bombing operation in the central Iranian city of Isfahan.
In a brief statement, the intelligence agency did not disclose the nationalities or identities of those arrested, but said the suspected members were working for the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad and were receiving orders from Mossad.
The network members had prepared sophisticated operational and communication equipment and powerful explosives, the statement said.
The suspected members wanted to carry out extraordinary acts of sabotage and terrorism in predetermined sensitive areas and targets.
