According to experts, Pakistan is at the top of the three countries in the world affected by water shortage. 

According to a report, according to the data of 1951, 5300 cubic meters of water per capita was available in Pakistan, while in 2017, it has reduced to just 860 cubic meters, which is now Increasingly a sign of danger, the same is true of urban sewage systems. 

For example, before this rampant expansion of population, a kilometer-long pipeline of water and sewage was enough to deliver about a hundred houses, but now due to the expansion of population, the burden of a thousand houses has been transferred to this pipeline.

It is certain that population growth makes it difficult to deliver services anywhere, just as population growth creates innumerable traffic problems and who does not know that chaotic traffic is environmental pollution. 

It is also the biggest reason due to which fatal diseases are being born day by day, including cancer. 

Pakistan is facing various problems at the moment, such as unemployment, inflation and load shedding, there are monsters that do not seem to end, but regardless of all this, one problem that is spreading like a cancer is the disease of unruly population. 

Not only has it become a huge obstacle in the way of the country's development, but the country's resources are also being devoured like crocodiles to sea creatures, but the tragedy is that from our rulers to the common people, no one has this problem till date. 

Realized the seriousness of it and no one knew any danger for the coming times. 

Despite repeated warnings by experts including the United Nations that more than four million people in Pakistan are forced to live below the poverty line, more than seven million Pakistanis do not have access to clean drinking water and Punjab, which has a population of eleven million. 

Along with Pakistan's largest and relatively prosperous province, 90 million people are facing sanitary problems, around 70 million people are forced to live in one-room houses. 

Despite the increasing unemployment, lack of health and education, transport and other basic facilities, the rulers are finding it difficult to understand this.

What is the real cause of these problems?

 After the report of the United Nations last year regarding the growing population, more than 31 million mothers around the world go through the maternity process due to the lack of various basic medical facilities. 

Among them, more than 20 million mothers have given birth to children under such dangerous conditions on an average of four to six times in their lifetime. 

Due to non-availability of food, life forms are lost during this process. According to the official census conducted in 1998, the total population of Pakistan was 132.4 million, while in 2017 it reached 207.8 million, i.e., an increase of 57% in 19 years, i.e., an increase of 3% per year (while the United States The population growth rate in India is 1.7 percent per year) which is much higher than other countries. 

Three years ago, the United Nations Population Fund said in a report that between 1990 and 2019, Pakistan and Nigeria are the only countries that have The population has doubled during this period. 

There are several reasons for the rate of population growth in Pakistan, the main ones being ignorance and low literacy rate, and in addition, there is no awareness of the number of children according to the resources. 

The main reasons are to color the family planning program and other reasons include poverty, unemployment, lack of concern for the future and poor planning and lack of interest in population reduction at the government level. 

If we look around us, we see poverty as one of the main reasons for the increase in population. 

Because of more people, the wealth will have to be divided into more parts and in such families there is no concern about the support of old age, on the contrary, the birth of more children is emphasized in the poor classes also because First, they need a source of income. 

Another support for old age, because in these situations, the first priority is the boy, due to which, in the case of the birth of girls, the chain of procreation continues until the birth of a boy, which leads to an increase in the population. 

Agricultural lands are rapidly being converted into housing colonies, due to which it is becoming increasingly difficult for Pakistan to meet its own population's food needs, affecting fruits, vegetables and pulses in addition to wheat. 

It has started to fall. 

Due to the increase in population, the rate of malnutrition among children is becoming alarming day by day. According to a survey report released in 2019, more than one-third of children in Pakistan suffer from malnutrition, 29 percent of children are underweight, more than 17 percent of children are born weak, and 38 percent of children are short of height for age. 

According to another survey, more than twelve thousand women lose their lives in Pakistan every year during pregnancy and childbirth.. 

To solve this problem, the family planning department should be made active and the experiences of Bangladesh and Iran should be utilized, which took all the schools of thought into confidence and obliged the people to have proper spacing and planning of childbirth.
