Will Pakistan be able to repay all IMF loans in next 10 years?
problem is not with the IMF. this is China. Apart from the amount we borrowed from China, interest (which is much higher than the IMF charges) is the main challenge. Disappointingly, no one is questioning the government about the exact terms of the C-Pac agreement. These are the Chinese loans that are bothering us.If we fail to pay the IMF, we may get a bailout package. However, if we fail to pay China, it will lose control of Gwadar port and generate revenue from trade routes. Although this is my humble opinion. I hope that instead of talking about austerity and welfare state, the government will focus on these issues and bring them to the notice of the people which is impossible to implement with a failed economy.
